Your Assignment for Lesson One
1. Let go of 27 items a day for 9 days. These items can be clothes, books, papers, dishes, knick-knacks – whatever things no longer serve you. They can be items of makeup or cleaning products. Just 27 items a day. Start small. Choose just one kitchen drawer or a vanity so you won’t become overwhelmed.
2. Journal how you reacted to letting go of things. The more attachment we have to a “thing”, the more difficult it is to let it go. If there is one thing you had real trouble eliminating despite not using it ever or in years, consider the energy that “thing” that you really struggled with eliminating had, and how you feel not having it.
